Applications

Production of blisks (Blade Integrated Disks), turbine blades for aircraft turbines
Transmission of the vibration spectra of the blisks via 5G with latencies of up to one millisecond
Adjustment of the production process as soon as the vibrations exceed a permissible normal dimension
Creation of a digital twin for better control of the production process

Project integration

The focus of the Connected Adaptive Production Performance Center is on the development, systematic introduction and use of modern digitization technologies for sustainable, industrial production systems and value chains in the sense of Industry 4.0 and is based on an initiative of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Fraunhofer institute with intensive support from industry. The blisk scenario is one of six pilot applications.
